Each oil contributes distinct and complementary therapeutic properties. Niaouli (Melaleuca quinquenervia) is closely related to tea tree but contains a higher concentration of 1,8-cineole and viridiflorol — compounds with potent antifungal activity specifically studied for nail and skin fungal infections, including dermatophytes responsible for onychomycosis (nail fungus). Research has shown niaouli to penetrate the nail plate more effectively than many synthetic antifungals when applied topically. Tea tree oil (Melaleuca alternifolia) provides terpinen-4-ol, one of the most clinically validated natural antifungals and antimicrobials — randomized controlled trials have demonstrated its efficacy against Trichophyton rubrum and other nail pathogens comparable to pharmaceutical topical treatments. Vetiver (Chrysopogon zizanioides) contributes khusimol and isovalencenol — sesquiterpene compounds with anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties that also support tissue regeneration and skin barrier repair around the nail bed and cuticle. Lavender (Lavandula officinalis) adds linalool and linalyl acetate for their well-documented antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, and analgesic properties, while also providing a calming aromatic experience. Directions

Apply 1–2 drops directly to each nail and cuticle. Massage gently into the nail plate and surrounding skin until absorbed. Use daily, morning and/or evening, for best results.

For nail fungus treatment: Apply consistently twice daily. Every 2–3 days, lightly scrape the surface of the nail with a fine nail file before applying the oil — this removes the uppermost layer of the nail plate and significantly improves oil penetration into the deeper layers where fungal infection resides. Important: never reuse a nail file. Cut a standard nail file into small single-use pieces and discard after each use — reusing files can reintroduce fungal spores and undermine treatment. Allow nails to breathe and avoid nail polish during treatment. Consistent use over several weeks is key to visible results as the nail grows out.
